We're thrilled to share an incredible milestone in Perforated AI's journey. Our founder, Dr. Rorry Brenner, recently completed the prestigious Draper University Heroes Program in Silicon Valley, and we're proud to announce that he took first place in the program's final pitch competition. This achievement marks a pivotal moment in our company's first foray into fundraising and the company’s tech transfer journey from science to product.
In April 2025, Perforated AI completed its inaugural Neural Network Optimization Hackathon at the Carnegie Mellon Swartz Center, bringing together students and ML practitioners from across Pittsburgh to explore cutting-edge optimization techniques. With $6,000 in prizes and a revolutionary new approach to neural network design, the event showcased how artificial dendrites can dramatically improve model performance and efficiency.
